The Indians made their three-game losing streak a distant memory by playing solid baseball and stringing together four consecutive victories. Donegal improved to 7-4 on the year.

"Always nice to get the bleeding stopped," head coach Jeff Hartman said.

Coy Allman slugged a two-run homer. Jaden Fabian doubled and scored a run as the Indians held on to beat Garden Spot 8-6 on Friday, April 14, in New Holland. The Spartans' three-run rally in their last at bat cut a comfortable 8-3 lead to 8-6.

Speaking of stopping the bleeding, Brock Hammaker came in and recorded the final two outs. The Spartans had already scored two on a two-run homer. Ryan Speers also hit a home run after Hammaker entered the game.

The 6-foot junior fielded the next two balls that were put in play, recording an assist and a putout.

"Brock Hammaker had a very good night on the mound and at the dish," Hartman said. "We played solid defense and had some timely hitting."

On Monday, Donegal held on to defeat Cocalico 6-3. The team won its fourth straight game, edging Elco 6-5 on the road Wednesday, April 19.
