With Grace Graham's three hits and five runs batted in, the Donegal softball team topped Manheim Central 13-1 on the road, Wednesday afternoon, April 5. Graham had a triple and two singles.
A trio of Tribe teammates drove in two runs each - Ruth Myers, Emma Garber and Natalie Colwell with Myers stroking a double and scoring two runs. Bella Mackison also scored two runs as did winning pitcher Cara Biesecker.
Batting out of the lead-off spot, Biesecker went 1-for-3 with a double and two runs scored. She pitched five innings with two strikeouts and two walks.
The Indians were coming off a 19-4 thumping of the Elco Raiders the previous day. Garber had five RBI's in this win, slugging two doubles on a 3-for-3 afternoon.
Esther Myers, who drove in three, also doubled while Mackison blasted a solo home run in addition to drawing two walks and scoring another run.
Colwell went 2-for-3 with two RBI's.
Biesecker's pitching effort needed to go for only four innings in the mercy rule game. She recorded one strikeout and allowed four runs on three hits.
