The Indians visited Chester County's Steel City on Saturday, April 15, for the Coatesville Invitational.

"We made it past halfway through the invitational before the meet was canceled due to the weather," Phil Koser, the Indians' head coach, explained. "It was a disappointment to those who didn't get to compete."

The highlights of races that did finish included Caleb Kendig's 48-foot-5 shot put throw and Chad Rambal's personal best 20-foot-long jump.

"Kathryn Fernald was 12th all-time for Donegal in the mile," Koser said. Fernald ran a 5:31 pace.

"Molly Myers set a freshman mile record - 5:28.26, which was also number nine all time at Donegal," Koser added.

In the girls' distance medley, KcKyla Bantum and Marleigh Ballard teamed up with Myers and Fernald for fourth place overall. The boys' foursome of Braden Bistline, Micha Brydon, Cadel Barber, and Dylan Lenhart took sixth.

On Tuesday, April 18, the Octorara boys' team topped Donegal 93-57 while the Donegal girls remained unbeaten (3-0) with an 89-60 defeat of their Section Three rivals.

Senior Faith Garber sprinted to victory in the 100-meter dash in addition to winning the 200-m.

Myers gained another distance victory with a 1,600-m first-place finish. Sophomore Addison Houck won the high hurdles.

Sydney Snyder's triple jump and Claudia Taylor's 6-6 pole vault were also firsts for the Indians.
